This toolkit provides language, graphics and other marketing resources to help you share UGA Extension’s resources on generator safety.

Key messaging

If there are circumstances that result in a loss of power, it may be beneficial to utilize a portable generator. However, it must be used as intended and safely to avoid damage to the user’s health and home. Some of the dangers involving portable generators include carbon monoxide poisoning, electric shock, electrocution and fire.
