This toolkit provides language, graphics and other marketing resources to help UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) stakeholders promote the D.W. Brooks Signature Event. It also features materials to help D.W. Brooks award winners share their honor with their personal networks.

- Event celebrates agricultural innovation and leadership: The annual D.W. Brooks Signature Event highlights UGA’s commitment to advancing farming practices, honoring leaders who drive progress in agronomy, food security and global agricultural sustainability.
- CAES honors faculty excellence with D.W. Brooks Awards: Five faculty members are recognized annually for their outstanding contributions in teaching, research, Extension, public service Extension, and international agricultural and environmental sciences.

Promoting D.W. Brooks Lecture
This year’s D.W. Brooks Lecture will be delivered by Thomas J. Vilsack, the CEO of World Food Prize Foundation, former U.S. secretary of agriculture and former governor of Iowa. Vilsack’s lecture, “Food and Nutrition Security: The Critical Intersection of Farm Policy and the Land-Grant Mission,” will explore how policy decisions can support new and small-scale producer success.

I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’m being recognized with the 2026 D.W. Brooks Award for Excellence in [category]!
